Description
The Base Station is the control centre for Ravens, broadcasting a secure network for the recorders, and providing an interface for monitoring and controlling a flock of recorders.
The Base Station is built into a hardened flight case, with high-gain wifi antennas, active cooling and battery backup built right in. Capable of organizing recordings into a local archive, or establishing an encrypted connection to the Knowledge Commons cloud, the Base Station also has space inside to store and transport up to 5 recorders. When closed, the case is fully waterproof to protect your equipment in transit.
The Base Station and the Raven recorders form a mesh network to extend their reach in large, spread out locations. All communication between recorders and the Base Station are encrypted to avoid eavesdropping and interception of recordings for even the most sensitive conversations.
When connected to a Knowledge Commons account, the Base Station acts as a bridge to stream parallel recordings for live AI analysis and processing, creating a live record and a vital view into emerging themes in your sessions.
This unit includes only the Base Station (with no recorders), and is intended only to extend an existing flock. This is useful when you have sessions spanning multiple locations, or multiple rooms within a location where the usual mesh network used by the Ravens can reach.
